Case Gemmellaro Family & Friends takes shape in a nineteenth-century wine press and still preserves material elements and details that define its identity today, from historic woodwork to spaces that recall the most authentic profile of an Etna home.
It is a family-run place immersed in a 2,000 m² park with centuries-old pines and broom, where hospitality is built around a precise idea of staying: more private, and freer in its rhythms.
Our idea of welcome is based on leaving guests free to experience their stay independently, while at the same time offering practical support when it is needed.
The independent apartments, the restaurant, the experiences in the surrounding area, and the possibility of organizing the stay with a holiday plan are all part of the same vision: to make the stay more comfortable and better built around the needs of those who travel.
Case Gemmellaro is for those seeking a more secluded place, far from the congestion of urban centers, yet not out of the way. In less than fifteen minutes, you can reach Rifugio Sapienza by cable car, the main access point to Mount Etna; in about half an hour, you can arrive in Catania, with its energy and character, at the sea, or toward elegant Taormina, about forty minutes away.
It is a position that allows you, within the same stay, to move from volcanic landscapes to the coast, from Etna’s trails to the liveliest centers of eastern Sicily.
More than just a base, Case Gemmellaro is a place from which to move well and to which you gladly return: a place designed for those who prefer the quiet of nature to the noise of the city, intimate spaces to the crowds, without giving up the quality of the services.
